Joe Biden was Obama choice for Vice President. The choice was announced via text or email on a cellphone. The big news bigger than the choice was how it was announced through text or email.

Before it was through television and with the changing time it is now through text or email. This strategy by the Obama campaign team uses the new medium of text or email so they can maximize raising money and fielding information to a large segment of the younger voters who are using mostly this means of communication.
