December Unemployment jumped to 7.2%

The December Unemployment Rate jumped to 7.2% the highest since 1993.
Last month half a million Americans who do have a job last Thanksgiving Day were unemployed last month. There were 16,000 job lost every single day in December 2008.
2.6 million Americans lost their jobs last year. This has a ripple effect in the housing market which means more foreclosure, revenues for state and local government going out the door and the recession will worsen; if we do nothing. The economy is the number one problem that the new Obama administration should tackle.  We need to jump start the economy to create jobs.
